My Muslimah Doll is a small family business based in Cardiff, Wales.

As a quiet idea which gently floated into my mind.

On reflection, I realise that in some ways, it was inspired by my own life.

Growing up, I was academically smart but lacked direction. Being gifted with two incredible daughters, I realised the importance of helping children uncover their talents and nurture them with intention - so they can grow into confident leaders in their chosen fields. I believe that this journey should begin in childhood, through books, play, imagination and conversation.

Through My Muslimah Doll, I want girls to feel inspired, to build aspiration from a young age, to discover what excites them, and to explore what they are good at.

As a Muslim, I recognise the challenges Muslim girls and women may face in non-Muslim countries; which may prevent them from feeling confident in their faith and identity. That is why the dolls are female and visibly Muslim. Through play, I want to normalise seeing Muslim women at work or in the community. And I want Muslim girls to feel proud, empowered and comfortable being exactly who they are.

Absolutely not. Our hope is that any person can find joy, confidence, and inspiration in their My Muslimah Doll.
